By downloading, installing, or using the HYDE mobile application or visiting hyde-game.com (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Roman Kauffert ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of HYDE.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all laws applicable in your jurisdiction.
HYDE is a real-time, location-based multiplayer hide-and-seek game played outdoors. Players are assigned roles (runners or seekers) and use GPS tracking, Bluetooth proximity, and in-game communication features to play. Games are organised by a host and take place within a defined geographic area.
The Service is provided free of charge and is intended for recreational use. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice.
You may sign in using Google or Apple authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as necessary. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

HYDE is a game played in public spaces. You are solely responsible for your own safety and for being aware of your physical surroundings at all times during gameplay.
HYDE requires continuous access to your precise GPS location during active game sessions, including when the app is in the background. Your location is shared in real time with other players in your game. By participating in a game, you consent to this sharing for the duration of that session.
Location tracking stops automatically when a game ends. We do not collect or share your location outside of active game sessions. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
You may submit content such as a player name, profile photo, and chat messages ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, but grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and display it solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring that your User Content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws. We reserve the right to remove User Content that violates these Terms.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
HYDE is a game played outdoors in real-world environments. We make no representations regarding the safety, legality, or suitability of any location where gameplay takes place. You assume full responsibility for your safety during gameplay.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Roman Kauffert shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, loss of data, or loss of profits.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under German law.
You may stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your account via the app settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, without prior notice or liability.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Munich (München), Germany, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
